The Mikado Lounge Chair is a breathtaking exercise in geometric tension and structural elegance. Inspired by the classic game of physical skill and precision, this chair transforms the concept of "falling sticks" into a rigid, functional masterpiece of modern seating. It stands as a testament to Riluc’s ability to take cold, industrial materials and imbue them with a sense of precarious, artistic energy. The Mikado Lounge chair is defined by its base a complex arrangement of intersecting stainless steel rods that appear to have been dropped and frozen in a moment of perfect balance. The "sticks" create a dense thicket of reflections, providing a visual lightness while maintaining immense structural integrity. The upholstered seat rests atop this metallic "game," creating a sharp contrast between the chaotic, angular base and the smooth, ergonomic comfort of the upper shell. Hand-welded stainless steel rods, polished to a mirror finish, creating a kaleidoscopic effect with surrounding light. Despite its avant-garde appearance, the seat is meticulously contoured to provide a relaxing, supportive lounging experience.
