ABOUT THE WEBINAR
Good editing can make indie books indistinguishable from traditionally published books. But as indies, you don't have a publishing house to help manage the process. The editing ball is in your court!
Tabitha Lord has worked successfully with several free-lance editors in the course of her career. She'll share her experience navigating the multilayered, sometimes intense editorial process. She'll help you examine the different types of editing, determine what your manuscript needs, learn how to find, vet, and work collegially with a freelance editor, understand how to deal with critical feedback, and create a strategy for making developmental edits.
Once you've gone through a thorough editorial process, you'll be able to stand behind your work and confidently publish your book.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- The different types of editing
- What kind of editing your manuscript needs
- How to get the most from working with beta readers during the editing process
- How to find and work successfully with a freelance editor
- Strategies for working through developmental edits
- How to manage an editorial calendar
- How to determine when your manuscript is ready for publication
