Its progressive layering provides great filtration efficiency and dust holding capacity, while not requiring the use of oils. This media is best suited for street use. Its inverted top makes for more filter surface area, resulting in longer service intervals. The sealed heat-resistant housing, constructed of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), features our patent-pending filter-to-housing interface and a clear sight window that allows for hassle-free filter inspection. An aluminum heat shield panel on the side of the housing deflects hot air emitted from the turbocharger, ensuring the system’s two air inlets bring in the coolest air possible. In addition to the massive auxiliary air inlet, this intake utilizes the vehicle’s OE air inlet with no additional hardware. Stainless-steel clamps and a silicone coupler are included for strength and durability. Momentum GT’s innovative filter-to-housing design minimizes the total number of parts, making for a fast and easy installation.
