Founded on centuries-old Italian craftsmanship, Belle Arti's artist linen is produced with meticulous control, from raw material to finished surface and offers premium painting surfaces in universal (acrylic), oil-primed* and clear glue-sized options, each with distinct handling qualities. Universal priming provides a versatile, slightly absorbent surface suited to both acrylic and oil painting. Oil-primed* linen delivers a smoother, less absorbent ground, enhancing brush glide, colour richness and luminosity. Clear glue sizing preserves the natural linen character and colour, ideal for artists preparing their own grounds or wishing to retain the natural look of the surface. Available in varying textures from fine to medium and coarse, this range supports everything from detailed realism to expressive, textural painting.
*Oil Primed surfaces are only suitable for use with oil paint.
