This is a very nice square cut bowl blank of Black Walnut heartwood with a sliver of sapwood along one edge. The color is a pleasant medium to dark brown with a very nice, gently flowing grain pattern over most of the block. One edge has a bit of wane and a 1. 5" band of lighter brown sapwood. This piece has been air dried to under 10% moisture content.
