Het wijnhuis Azienda Agricola Alturis is van de gebroeders Zorzettig. En dat is geen onbekende familie in de wijnwereld. De familie Zorzettig maakt namelijk al jaren lang de mooiste wijnen over de gehele wereld. De heren Marco en Massimo Zorzettig, erfgenamen van de familie maken vandaag de dag de wijnen voor Azienda Agricola Alturis in het Noordelijke puntje van Italië. Om precies te zijn in Cividale del Friuli wat ligt op grensstreek met Oostenrijk en Slovenië. De naam van het wijnhuis is verkregen door de prachtige heuvels van Friuli die in hun moedertaal "Altùris" worden genoemd. Door de jaren heen wordt het wijnhuis gezien als pioniers van het Noorden, want nieuwe en excentrieke wijnen maken zit nu eenmaal in het bloed.Houtlagering voor de Alturis Friuli Nice Wine
Deze witte wijn van Alturis uit de regio Friuli heeft de naam gekregen na de eerste vinificatie. Want direct na de eerste proefsessie riepen de broers "Nice Wine". En daar hebben ze honderd procent gelijk in. Voor deze wijn worden enkel Chardonnay druiven verbouwd aan de oudste stokken van het wijnhuis. Het leefklimaat is koel voor de trossen want er staat veel wind vanaf de Julische Alpen. Hierdoor is het rijpingsproces erg lang en krijgen de Chardonnay trossen alle tijd om veel kracht op te bouwen. En dat is gelukt, de oogst wordt in zijn geheel met de hand binnen gehaald en streng geselecteerd. Na de rijping op de Lie ondergaat deze Alturis Friuli Nice Wine een lange houtrijping. Er wordt gebruik gemaakt van Franse eiken houten vaten waarvan een deel nieuw en ongebruikt is. Hierdoor kijrgt hij meer invloeden in de geur en smaak van het houten fust.Vol en zeer krachtig deze Alturis Friuli Nice Wine
Bij het open maken van de fles ruiken we al direct de hout tonen en indrukken van ingelegd geel fruit. Heerlijk en dat wordt nog maar eens bevestigd door de kleur van de wijn. Deze ziet namelijk goudgeel en vormt een mooie dikke structuur in het glas. Geurend naar fruit nuances van abrikozen, perziken en appels met daarbij wat specerijen en vanille. Ook is het houten fust goed te merken in de geur en daarbij geeft hij ook iets van verse gele room. In de mond is deze Alturis Friuli Nice Wine erg vol en romig, de dikke structuur plakt aan het gehemelte en geeft smaken van tropisch fruit met daarbij vanille en ceder hout. Het rijpe fruit blijft hangen tot de laatste slok en hiermee is toch wel een nieuwe held geboren in Friuli!Shipping Notes

Tie a Knot in it if it rips

My puppy split the middle belly seam in about 5 minutes of spirited play with the white foam and squeak assembly scattered about, but he loves these loofa toys - goes nuts for them. Went through a couple of the little $3 ones so I tried this big one which he ripped apart. But I tied a knot in the middle of it over the ripped part and guess what, it's better than before. He loves the whipping the big knot around. The part where it ripped was where they filled it I think but the rest of the stitching is really quite solid. Takes a beating, to a point. The little ones lasted a reasonable time before they were totally played.

Shark dog approved

My new baby shark.... I mean puppy really enjoys chewing. I can't just give her a ton of pig ears or bully sticks all day, which she would definitely love, so I'm constantly looking for well made chew toys. I'd put this right up with Kong. Very durable and nice. I also love the different textures, she seems to also love it. She can gnaw at the top and chew on the stem. She wanted it as soon as I opened it - it does smell like bacon but I haven't taken a chomp at it to be able to write a complete review!
My dog is about 23 lbs but I can see a 80 lb dog chew this, it's not small.

So cute

My French Bulldogs have really strong jaws and are aggressive chewers. These really are sturdy and last a good amount of time. They are a bit heavy and awkward for my dogs to hold onto but they do like them.
