De Peth-Wetz Riesling is een droge, frisse witte wijn uit Rheinhessen, Duitsland. Deze wijn wordt gemaakt van 100% handgeplukte Riesling-druiven uit de kalkrijke en lössbodems van Bermersheim, Dalsheim en Westhofen. De druiven worden koel vergist in roestvrijstalen tanks om de frisse fruittonen en mineraliteit te behouden, waarna de wijn enkele maanden op de fijne gisten rijpt. Het resultaat is een heldere, middelzware Riesling met een levendige zuurgraad en een zijdezachte afdronk.

De wijn heeft een verfijnde geur van perzik, abrikoos, groene appel en een hint van citrus en bloemen. In de mond is hij strak droog, elegant en zeer fris met een subtiele mineraliteit en een lichte honingtoets. De Peth-Wetz Riesling is heerlijk bij gegrilde vis, schaal- en schelpdieren, sushi of licht gevogelte en serveertemperaturen van 8–10°C komen het beste tot hun recht.

Wijnhuis Weingut Peth-Wetz
Weingut Peth-Wetz in Bermersheim, Rheinhessen, is een familiebedrijf van Christian en Maja Peth. Christian Peth reisde na zijn opleiding in Geisenheim de wereld rond en keerde in 2001 terug om zijn eigen wijnlabel te starten. De wijngaarden worden biologisch bewerkt sinds 2016 en gecertificeerd vanaf 2023. De kalkrijke lössbodems zorgen voor de karaktervolle en mineralige stijl van hun Rieslings, terwijl het werk in de wijngaard en de vinificatie met inheemse gisten de pure fruittonen in de wijn bewaren.

Even my boyfriend keeps commenting how much he likes it. It's a usable piece of art! I will comment that the earring holes can be a little tricky since the leaves are turned all different ways. You have to be strategic with how you line up your long/dangle-y earrings with your studs so everybody fits and can be seen. A little tricky. But not a deal breaker - especially when it's so easy on the eye. The other slight negative is that this really isn't the best necklace holder. I would have thought, "No problem!" But it's a bit awkward. Especially if you actually intend to see all your earrings. You'll end up hanging most of your necklaces from the top most branch - but they slide down into the crevice to stay. Then you've got a lot of overlapping. And trickiness to retrieve the exact necklace you want with ease. However, this is still a fabulous earring tree. I can't say enough good things about it. Love the little basket for miscellaneous. Hair bands, lip gloss, etc.

I waited a month for the price to go down (I'm just a cheapskate) and it did. It went from $45 or so, down to $25 or so. So, unless its life or death, be patient and buy it when the price is right. OVERALL? In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.
