The Crocodiles de Cartier Exceptional Limited Edition fountain pen channels one of the Maison's most storied animal motifs into a refined writing instrument for collectors. Sculptural crocodile forms and gold-toned accents create a commanding presence, while the pen's balanced proportions and 18k gold nib affirm Cartier's commitment to both artistry and function.

Craftsmanship & Design

Cartier's animalier vocabulary is interpreted here with striking dimensionality. The crocodile motif is rendered with crisp contours and a high-polish finish that catches the light, emphasizing the interplay of curves along the cap and trim. The result is an object that reads as sculpture at rest and as a capable tool in the hand. Discreet branding and elegant surface transitions keep the composition focused on form, not flourish, reinforcing the quiet confidence associated with Cartier's most refined writing instruments.

Attention to tactile detail is evident throughout: the fit between cap and barrel, the smooth transition at the section, and the reassuring feel of precious metal appointments. The overall effect is a pen that looks exceptional in a vitrine yet is engineered for regular use.

Writing Experience

The 18k gold medium nib provides a smooth, fluid line with gentle feedback that enhances control without drag. Ink delivery is consistent, supporting both fast note-taking and deliberate, expressive script. A cartridge or converter filling system offers practical flexibility for travel or desk use, allowing you to pair the pen with a wide range of fountain pen inks while maintaining reliable performance.

Balance is carefully judged so that the pen sits comfortably during extended sessions. The section geometry encourages a natural grip, minimizing fatigue and letting the nib's gold alloy character define the feel on paper.

Heritage & Provenance

Crocodiles have long occupied a place within Cartier's design language, celebrated in high jewelry and objets since the mid-20th century. That legacy, famously highlighted by the Maison's double-crocodile creations of the 1970s, informs the sculptural approach seen here. As part of Cartier's Exceptional Limited Edition offerings, this fountain pen bridges the house's historic animal motifs with the precision of contemporary writing instrument manufacture, resulting in a piece that resonates equally with jewelry enthusiasts and dedicated pen collectors.

Don't listen to the negative reviews. There is so much to love in this story.
Format: Paperback
First off, I would like to say that this is mostly for people who either A) bought vol1 and want to finish the story, and B) fans of not only Batman, but also the "legacy" that he has left behind him. More on that later. This is the second half of the weekly 26 week story revolving around The former robins, and deals heavily around The Spoiler, Cassandra Cain (batgirl) and Harper Row (bluebird) the main thing I have to say about this story is that it more effectively does what "batman eternal" and "Robin war" we're trying to accomplish. In batman eternal, the story was over 50 issues long, and there were so many times where the story was abysmal because of filler and boring events that made it feel like such a cash grab, and with Robin war, by the end of that story there is almost nothing important that happens, leaving you to feel like you could have went without reading it. Batman and robin eternal not only tells a captivating story, but with important enough events that justify your time and money put into this story. I can whole heartedly recommend this to ANY fan of not only Azrael (very important character in the 90s when knight fall was going on) but also Cassandra Cain (new batgirl up until 2011) and they in my opinion are the highlights of this story because of the justice they are given as comic book characters. We haven't seen them since in the new earth, so it's nice that they got some recognition before rebirth. Hopefully we see them more, but this is also a solid story for the robins as well, each of Batmans pupils gets justice at some point in the story, so I can say a fan of any of them will be pleased. I can say this especially as a Red Hood fan who longs for the day that Jason Tood will finally get a good/solo ongoing series. Now with that said, the art can be inconsistent seeing as how there are more than one of them, and the "big plot twist" shown in this second half can be pretty obvious that "there's more than meets the eye" with the situation, but I rather not give spoilers. Again This book is MORE THAN WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY if you Like ANY robin Like Scott Snyders "bluebird" Like the old ninja looking batgirl Like Azrael Like batman stories that don't have batman as the main focus

Batman & Robin Eternal
Format: Kindle
Again, what a ride! Glad to see batman back in action. The Robins own this book. Mother is down and out by her own creation. And the world is safe once again. What more could you ask for?!

Great conclusion to the series.. with an all-star cast involving the extended Bat family.. reminiscent of the "Battle for the Cowl" and "Return of Bruce Wayne" days in scope and back story.. definitely a must-read!

Great story by several great storytellers
Format: Paperback
Picks up where vol1 left off but generally feels more cohesive and organized. Great story by several great storytellers. Connects heavily with Grayson if you want more context.
