Our experience confirms that the optimal length of the pan legs is 25 cm. This is the maximum height for the heat of the fire or embers to still reach the pan. A pan with legs taller than 25 cm is not efficient enough, because it is too far from the heat source and the heat dissipates before reaching the pan.
