As with all wood, it's not dishwasher safe nor ideal to leave soaked in water.
So a simple handwash wipe down the item after use will ensure the product stays as cool as Miles Davis for longer.
All Spoons/ Spatulas will fade a little with kitchen use, especially if you're thoroughly scrubbing. I recommend a light wipe with a soft sponge and fairy liquid/ dish detergent. Although with the images being burned into the wood, it should take a while for it to degrade to a point of sadness.
