Introducing a high-density, professional-grade solution for centralized power distribution and remote control in data centers, labs, and enterprise environments. The Black Box Horizontal Rackmount Remote Power Manager is designed to fit neatly into standard 19-inch racks, delivering reliable power management for critical devices while keeping wiring organized and accessible. With a dual-circuit design and eight independently controllable NEMA 5-15 outlets, this unit empowers IT and facilities teams to sequence startups, perform safe shutdowns, and isolate loads for maintenance—all from a single, compact chassis. Control and monitor power events across local console interfaces or remotely over a TCP/IP network, using Telnet, a web browser, a connected modem, or serial commands. Security is built in with two levels of password protection to safeguard against unauthorized access and accidental power interruptions. Available in multiple voltage variants to match regional power standards, this remote power manager adapts to diverse environments—from small server rooms to lab benches—without sacrificing reliability or ease of use. In short, it combines rugged construction, flexible control, and granular outlet-level management to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.

  • Flexible remote control options: Manage devices via Telnet over TCP/IP, a Web UI, a modem connection, or serial commands, giving you multiple paths to monitor, switch, and automate power events from nearly any location.
  • Individually controllable outlets: Each of the eight NEMA 5-15 outlets can be controlled independently, enabling precise startup sequencing, selective power cycling, and graceful shutdowns of groups of equipment.
  • Voltage variants for global deployment: Versions are available for 105-120 VAC, 100-120 VAC, 100-125 VAC, and 208-240 VAC equipment, making it easy to deploy in data centers, labs, and facilities worldwide.
  • Two levels of password protection: Secure access controls prevent unauthorized power operations and provide layered authentication for operators and administrators.
  • Horizontal rackmount design with dual circuits: Built to fit a standard 19-inch rack, the unit offers dual-circuit power distribution to isolate heavy loads and improve reliability in demanding environments.

how to install Black Box Horizontal Rackmount Remote Power Manager

  • Plan the installation by confirming the voltage version you require (one of 105-120 VAC, 100-120 VAC, 100-125 VAC, or 208-240 VAC) and ensuring your rack has adequate space and ventilation for heat dissipation.
  • Mount the unit in a standard 19-inch rack in a horizontal orientation using the included mounting hardware, then secure the chassis to prevent movement and ensure cable accessibility.
  • Connect the power distribution path by plugging the input power line from your facility into the unit’s power input (per the selected voltage variant) and verify that the load side outlets are connected to the target devices needing remote control.
  • Establish network or dial-in access: connect the device to your TCP/IP network to enable Telnet and Web UI control, or attach a modem for dial-in management, and configure the serial connection if required for local console control.
  • Configure security and outlet control policies: set the two levels of password protection, assign operator credentials, and program startup sequences or power-off scenarios for critical equipment. Finally, test each outlet individually to confirm reliable on/off control and verify that remote commands reflect immediately in the connected devices.

Finally a dual vertical stand with a stable build, quality materials, and snug fit for MacBook Pro
Color: Black Walnut, Color: Black Walnut
I don’t normally write reviews but I’ve had so much trouble finding an adequate vertical stand for two MacBook Pros that doesn’t worry me every time I look at it. I can finally say with confidence that I won’t need to replace this one. Not only is this stand attractive, it is simply a lot more sturdy than the all-metal “industrial” stand that it will replace because my MacBooks fit into it without wobbling, it has a wide surface area base, and its overall fairly heavy due to a solid wood + solid metal build. This vertical stand stands apart in the two areas that my previous two stands have failed at: 1. A snug fit with a protective lining so that the laptops don’t wobble and bump into each other (the dual Omoton I have suffers from this terribly where the laptops bump and lean against one another) 2. A solid base with enough weight to prevent the stand from tipping over from an accidental bump (my single-laptop human centric mount is beautiful, but the base is too light and narrow so that any decent contact feels that it might tip over) This stand has a very solid build quality with a nice weight to it which is comforting when potentially storing two expensive pieces of hardware in a vertical orientation that lends to tipping over (MacBook Pros are absurdly well over $2k a piece now on average). This is now the third vertical stand I’ve purchased for my two MacBook pros (work & personal). It’s not my third because I compulsively purchase things I don’t need (though I do do that), but rather because the previous two models felt unstable and carried a greater risk of damaging a few thousand dollars in equipment. Anyway, this is my first purchase from this brand but I highly recommend!

Perfect for laptops, tablets, Remarkables, Kindles - you name it! This dock is perfect!
Color: Black Walnut, Color: Black Walnut
Coming across UPERGO has been a blessing. To find items of this caliber without having to pay a mortgage payment on it is a lifesaver. It truly is, and I have found that based on my desk setups in my office, UPERGO has not let me down with any of their products. I had already previously owned a UPERGO Vertical Laptop stand. I use that one for my productivity desk for my work laptop and my personal gaming laptop. So, I knew its quality was legitimately top notch already. The problem I ran into was a workflow issue. I have four portable devices that I carry every day at some point: Microsoft Surface Pro 13", Remarkable Paper Pro, Remarkable Paper Pro Move, and a Kindle Colorsoft. The problem is that I did not want to keep them inside the desk drawer that I use. So, I need something to help save some space on my desk and sort of dock these items when there were not in use. I set one on each opposite side of my desk and that worked out perfectly. I was able to save desk space but also add a bit of protection for these devices. I could adjust the slots, if needed, but it worked out just fine. And the material inside gripped these devices perfectly. Once again, UPERGO has been able to build a product that fit ideally into my use-case. This time, albeit in a slightly different manner, but it was exactly what I was looking for.

Surprisingly Amazing!
Color: Walnut, Color: Walnut
I bought this expecting it to be a cheaper product I would use until I bought something better. I was very surprised to see how nice it was! Very solid and non slip surface on the bottom. The wood on it looks great and one of the most awesome things about it is you can manually adjust it to fit your laptop. I have a heavy16 inch MacBook Pro with a case on it and it fits perfectly in this stand, after adjusting it, of course. I ended up buying another one for my work office too. I can’t wait to try other products from this company.
