Now a retired high school math teacher, Gary has been hand-shaping surfboards out of Leucadia, Ca. for over 35 years. He has built boards under many different labels, but those that know him, know that Gary is the real deal when it comes to craftsmanship.
He grew up in Long Beach California and was always attracted to triangle-shaped logos that he would see around his hometown and the Long Beach harbor. When it came time to design his own surfboard logo Gary knew exactly what shape concept he wanted to use, and his original straight triangle logo was born. Over the years that logo took on a few different versions and would eventually rest on the current, stylized triangle logo that Gary uses today.
It's hard to find a nicer, more genuine guy than Gary and we are stoked to be able to offer his logo for others to purchase and wear with pride!
