The bonus includes several designer's variants plus two designer's scenarios, two unofficial scenarios, official and unofficial errata and some game reviews.  Some to all of the bonus will be sent by email.  All bonus and extras material are available for sale separately if requested.

Byzantium is a 2 to 4 player (the Byzantines, the Franks, the Khazars, and the Muslims) game covering the high points of the Byzantine Empire, from the 8th century defeat of the Arabs to the fall of Constantinople in 1204 AD.  Each player represents a single great power or alliance.  Players must use a combination of military strength and cunning strategy to maintain and increase their power.  The rules are a modified version of those used in the 30 Years War (S&T #173) and the 100 Years War (S&T #177).
