A metal suet cage sits on each upright support, for even more feeding options. The faux wood grain on the recycled plastic enhances the natural motif, while the clear plastic panels in the center of the piece form a seed reservoir. This chamber holds up to 2.5 quarts of mixed or other seed, and the plastic panels angle inward toward the bottom to keep feed moving. The seed exits onto the metal mesh tray via a gap at the base of each plastic panel, allowing birds to dine on each side of the unit. The fine perforations on the mesh base help seed stay dry and fresh, and a gold colored hinge along the top of this feeder allows one side of the roof to open completely. Each of the suet cages opens at the top, for simple filling, and the 1" x 0.5" rectangular openings allow birds easy access to the treat.
