It supports vitamin D3 production and aids in preventing metabolic disorders, particularly rickets. There's no need for a ballast. The 70W UV-surface radiation bulb, ideal for tropical reptiles, achieves its optimal UV-B output of approximately 100 µW/cm2 at a distance of around 35 cm from the animal.
