Emerald's precious green color is caused by trace amounts of chromium and vanadium. Emeralds are considered one of the four Precious Stones; the Sapphire, the Emerald, the Ruby and the Diamond.
- Emeralds are found in many countries, but Columbia and Brazil are the major producers; Columbia is recognized as the source for the finest stones. They are also found in Pakistan, Russia, Australia, South Africa, India, Norway, and the United States.
- Incas and Aztecs of South America, where the best emeralds are still found today, regarded the emerald as a holy gemstone. However, probably the oldest known finds were once made near the Red Sea in Egypt. These gemstone mines, already exploited by Egyptian pharaohs between 3000 and 1500 B.C. and later referred to as 'Cleopatra's Mines', had already been exhausted by the time the mines were rediscovered in the early 19th century.
- Written many centuries ago, the Vedas, the holy scriptures of India, say the emerald enhances the well-being, and are supposed to aid in fertility and abundance. Commonly today, they are closely associated with love and gifts of love.

Perfect remote case!

100% worth every penny for this! Apple seemingly makes their remotes from sheets of aluminum foil, if you fart to close to one, the wind will dent them.
That being said- This case solves that. The fit and finish is apple quality (the quality of their other products, not the remote made of play doh), it doesn’t add much bulk, easy to use and snaps right in place, and has an almost soft feel with some grip so it won’t slide off the arm of a couch or recliner. The red band of color is great for making it stick out and easier to find as well.
10/10 would recommend!

Exceeded expectations.

This simple yet effective case covers the back with a clear plastic window and fully encases the remote's edges. My kids dropped the old remote far too many times, and being made of aluminum, it dented and the IR piece in the front broke. I even bought a new remote, BUT, once I put this case on the old one (gluing the IR window back on), I discovered I no longer need the new remote, as this will last a long long time. I wish I had bought this from the start.
Why didn't I? because I thought it would make it bulkier. Sure it's a little wider, but feels pretty good in the hand, and the weight difference is negligible.
