Durability & Longevity:
Made of heavy-duty vinyl coated nylon, our ModRack Road Bag is built to withstand the elements and the rigors of off-roading. Featuring durable nylon webbing straps and adjustable side release buckles for securing the bag opening, the road bag will stay securely shut even on rough terrain. The bag is attached to the ModRack Octagon with nylon straps and stainless steel hardware, and can be cinched down tightly to maintain full contact with the mounting surface and bottom platform at all times.
The black powder-coated aluminum bottom platform attaches to the ModRack Octagon with steel carriage bolts to ensure the platform will remain stable and secure on the trail. This provides the support that other road bags on the market don’t have, and ensures the bag will never sag or tear.

Whether you’re looking for an extra storage option to free up space in your vehicle, a convenient way to transport firewood or charcoal, or a laundry or trash bag, the ModRack Road Bag is the perfect solution.
Features:
- Full size front pocket for separated storage that’s compatible with our Otzi Flat Pack Grills and other compact camp tools such as collapsible wash bowls and kitchen utensil sets like the Camp Kitchen Utensil Set by Front Runner.
- 42L (Small size bag) or 55L (Large size bag) of storage space for your camp fire and/or cooking needs. Easily fit enough firewood or charcoal for your trip, and skip the hassle of trying to fit them inside your vehicle without making a mess.
- Water resistant vinyl coated nylon fabric and a small drain hole at the base of the bag to prevent liquid and moisture from accumulating in the road bag. This provides the perfect laundry bag for wet and dirty clothes so they won’t take up space inside your rig.
Ease-of-Use:
Our quick detach/attach design has only 4 knobs to remove and attach the ModRack Road Bag to the ModRack Octagon. This allows you to easily remove the bag to transport the contents around camp or to a trash bin without having to take one handful out at a time.
The knobs are attached to steel carriage bolts so you can rest assured that when the bag is mounted, it will stay securely in place.
What if I’m in an area where theft is a concern?
No problem! If theft is a concern, a cable lock can be attached to through the ModRack Road Bag straps and then through your wheel.
What’s the weight limit on the ModRack Road Bag contents?
The weight limit depends on your tire carrier. The ModRack Octagon, Road Bag & Bottom Platform together weigh in at only 16.3 lbs (Small size) and 19.6 lbs (Large size) when empty, so if you have a tire carrier with a weight limit of 250 lbs you would simply subtract 16.3 lbs or 19.6 lbs and the weight of your tire to find your top weight limit.
